RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) Prep Workshop

RIMS, the risk management society, has partnered with St. John's University's Tobin Center for Executive Education to deliver an online, instructor-led Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) Exam Prep Course.

The RIMS-CRMP addresses the need for stakeholder confidence in risk management professionals. Since 2015, hundreds of individuals have achieved the RIMS-CRMP, the 'gold standard' in the risk management profession. The RIMS-CRMP holds official accreditation from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), which makes it the only risk management certification in the world to hold such status.

Who Should Attend

Earning the RIMS-CRMP demonstrates your knowledge of risk management competencies and commitment to quality. The RIMS-CRMP workshop/exam prep course raises your awareness of risk management issues and makes you a more valuable employee and risk manager.

    The course content is designed for staff, managers, directors and executives across all industries who are required to identify and analyze risks and associated uncertainties.     About the Instructor:

    Mike Hubbel has 50 years of experience in the field of insurance and risk management. He has worked with several insurance companies in the areas of research and product development, education and government relations, his last appointment as the vice president of an insurance company. Hubbel has taught risk management and insurance courses for the Fox School of Business, at Temple University, the College of Business at Michigan State University, the Maurice Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science at St. John's University (formerly The College of Insurance), and Olivet College.

    Mike has designed and conducted programs for a wide variety of firms and professionals, including AIG, Arch, Argo, Crum and Forster, Deloitte, IBM, Navigators, The Peoples Insurance Company of China, Willis and many others. He has taught Executive MBA courses on Enterprise Risk Management around the world.

    Mike is a member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and the International Insurance Society.

    Mike earned the BA in Risk Management and Insurance from Michigan State University, and the MBA in Risk Management at The College of Insurance, now the Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science at St. John's University in New York. He has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, the Associate in Risk Management, the Associate in Underwriting, the Associate in Management, the Associate in Research and Planning. the Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance, and the Associate in Reinsurance professional designations from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and The Insurance Institutes of America.

    RIMS launched the RIMS-CRMP certification in 2015 after a rigorous development process with participation of experienced risk management subject matter experts. Meeting RIMS' eligibility standards, completing the exam prep/course workshop and passing the exam leads to the RIMS-CRMP certification - the only internationally accredited risk management certification.
